celexon Toslink Optical Audio Cable 1.0m - Professional Line

The celexon Toslink optical audio cable transmits digital stereo and multi-channel audio signals in the best quality and is therefore ideally suited for connecting input and output devices with the connection usually labelled "Toslink".

With the help of the SPDIF (Sony/Philips Digital Interface) interface, the audio signals are transmitted uncompressed and loss-free.

The big difference to the digital Cinch cables, which also transmit audio signals via the SPDIF interface, is that this is a fibre optic cable which transmits the signals via light pulses. This technology has the advantage that the galvanic separation does not create different ground potentials and therefore there are no hum loops.

Originally developed in the 1980s by the Toshiba company, this method has now become established across all manufacturers.
