Overview of All Mount Types
Display mounts are not all the same. Depending on where and how a screen is used, there are significant differences in function, flexibility and installation. While some situations require a fixed, space-saving wall mount, other locations depend on maximum mobility or even complete portability. To make the right choice, it is worth getting to know the different mount types and their respective strengths.

Display Wall Mount vs. Display Stand

Wall Mount
Advantages
- Space-saving No additional stand or furniture needed — directly on the wall
- Tidy appearance No visible supports — looks clean and professional
- Increased safety The display is firmly secured and cannot be knocked over or moved
Disadvantages
- More complex installation Drilling required — concrete or drywall requires the right tools and wall plugs
- No flexibility after installation Position and height are fixed — modifications mean new holes
Display Stand & Trolley
Advantages
- Maximum flexibility Display can be moved, repositioned or taken to another room at any time
- Easy installation No drilling, no tools — set up and done
- Height and angle adjustable Ideal when different people use the display in different situations
Disadvantages
- More space required The stand needs floor space — this can be an issue in small rooms
- Less stable anchoring Not as firmly anchored as a wall mount — bear in mind in high-traffic areas

You can find the VESA standard in the manual of your display or on the type plate on the back.
Which VESA Standard Fits My Display?
100 x 100
By far the most common VESA standard. It fits monitors and smaller televisions from 27 to 43 inches (approx. 69–109 cm). Most mounts in the mid-price range support this measurement — it is the safe default value if you are unsure.
200 x 200
From 43 inches (approx. 109 cm), many manufacturers switch to this larger hole spacing. Display weight here is typically between 12 and 22 kg — make sure the chosen mount explicitly supports this load capacity and is designed for this VESA measurement.
400 x 400
Large-format displays from 55 inches (approx. 140 cm) use this standard — typical for conference rooms, schools and living rooms with a large TV. Weight ranges from 22 to over 50 kg. For these sizes we recommend our swivelling Adjust mounts or an electric trolley.
600 x 400
This standard is designed for very large displays from approximately 70 inches and is widely used in the professional sector — typically in conference rooms, schools and educational institutions. Due to the considerable display weight of up to 100 kg, we exclusively recommend mounts with sufficiently dimensioned load capacity.
800 x 600
The VESA standard 800×600 mm is found exclusively on very large professional displays and industrial monitors from approximately 90 inches. For this standard we generally recommend individual consultation — our celexon team is happy to assist you.
