Projector Wall Mount or Ceiling Mount?
Whether in the conference room, the classroom or the home cinema: choosing the right projector mount makes the difference between a cumbersome installation and a solution that works reliably for years. celexon offers two types – each with clear strengths for specific application scenarios.
Wall mounts are particularly suitable for rooms with low ceilings or where a discreet, wall-close installation is desired. They are the ideal choice for short-throw projectors that produce a large, razor-sharp image from a short distance – without taking up much space in the room.
Ceiling mounts are ideal when the projector needs to be positioned high and centrally – typically in larger conference rooms or in the home cinema. The central alignment creates a uniform, distortion-free image on the projection surface. For standard and tele-zoom projectors that require more distance to the screen, this is often the technically superior solution.
Both mount types are made from high-quality materials, robustly crafted and compatible with a wide range of projector models. Which variant suits you best depends on the room geometry, the projector type and your personal requirements – in both cases you are relying on proven celexon quality.
Projector Ceiling Lifts – Technology That Disappears When Not in Use
A projector that becomes invisible as soon as the presentation ends – that is exactly what celexon ceiling lifts offer. At the press of a button, the projector glides silently into the ceiling and frees up the room again. No obstructive device in the field of view, no dust on the lens.
This makes the lifts the first choice for environments where aesthetics and functionality matter equally: premium home cinemas, modern conference rooms, lecture halls and professional presentation spaces.
Technically, the celexon ceiling lifts impress with their flexibility: they can be adapted to different ceiling heights and room configurations and enable precise alignment of the projector for optimal image quality. Thanks to their robust construction and broad compatibility with common projector models, they are a long-lasting investment – for anyone who refuses to compromise on quality and design.

Frequently Asked Questions Before Buying
Which mount fits my projector?
Three factors are decisive: the weight of your projector, the VESA hole spacing on the underside of the device, and the required drop distance from the ceiling. Universal mounts such as the MultiCel Expert fit most projector models with a weight of up to 20 kg.
Ceiling Mount or Ceiling Lift – What Is the Difference?
A ceiling mount is a fixed, more affordable solution for permanent installations. The projector remains permanently visible, mounted to the ceiling.
A ceiling lift, on the other hand, moves the projector in and out of the ceiling via a motor (optionally via remote control). Ideal for conference rooms or living rooms where the projector should remain out of sight.
How Much Weight Can Projector Ceiling Mounts Support?
Depending on the model, the load capacity ranges between 10 kg and 30 kg. Compact mounts for home cinema projectors typically support up to 15 kg, professional models for heavy installation projectors up to 30 kg.
Can I Mount a Ceiling Mount on a Concrete Ceiling?
Yes – celexon ceiling mounts are designed for solid ceilings (concrete, masonry). For installation, you will need suitable heavy-duty anchors that match the material of your ceiling. These are not included in the delivery.
For drywall or hollow ceilings, we recommend mounting on a ceiling joist or using specialist hollow-wall anchors.
How Adjustable Is the Distance Between the Projector and the Ceiling?
Most celexon ceiling mounts offer an adjustable drop distance of approximately 30 to 90 cm. Models with an extension pipe also allow greater distances for rooms with high ceilings.
Are Cable Ducts Integrated in the Mount?
Selected celexon models feature an integrated cable management system. Cables can be routed through the pipe of the mount, resulting in a neat and tidy appearance.
Are There Mounts Specifically for Short-Throw Projectors?
Yes. Short-throw and ultra-short-throw projectors often have different centres of gravity and require greater tilt angles. celexon offers wall mounts that are optimised for these projection angles.
For UST projectors (Ultra Short Throw), suitable celexon Laser TV furniture is also recommended as an alternative to wall mounting.
